Babies are hazzardous to your sanity...

I am know that with each pregnancy I have lost braincells...my friend calls the disease "placenta brain".
Today I had to go to Sears to get a part for the fridge. It was raining like crazy so I grabbed the stroller, put the baby in and we ran inside. Then I decided to walk around the mall ( it was a lot better than being out in the cold rain). Well, an hour and a half later I go out and there is my van, sitting in the pouring rain with the back hatch open! DUHHHHH! I am an idiot.
I might be a little less hard on myself if this was an isolated incident, but unfortunately it isn't.
I cant even count how many times I have locked my keys in the car in the past 9 months. I finally got a hide-a-key but left it at home on the counter... oops. During dinner one night, instead of putting a plop of sour cream on my chili, I plopped a bunch of chili IN the container of sour cream. One day I drove away from the Wendy's drive up without the food, but after I had paid. And last week, I went to the grocery store TWICE without any money.... and didn't realize it until i had been there for an hour and had 80 dollars worth of groceries already bagged.
So if you have any idea on how to regrow brain cells I would much appreciate it. Especially since I think that more and more of them are dying each day....

that would have really saved you if you had left your keys in this time. i guess passerbys probably figured if it was open, that there wasn't anything worth stealing. at least you didn't leave the baby in the car and go in with an empyt stroller.

hahahahaaaa, hilarious! Jaci, you have the best stories! I love that the very first sentance starts off, "I am know..."-definite sign of "Placenta Brain".
I wonder if Placenta Brain in contagious? I might have caught it from you when I visited because I, too, went to the grocery store without any money and realized it after they had already rung up and bagged all the groceries.
A couple weeks ago I locked the keys in the car in the parking lot at home--so i was locked out of the car AND out of the house. The next morning as I was leaving for work I realized that when the keys were locked in, the ignition had been turned so the lights had stayed on and the battery was dead. Derrrr. Well, at least I remembered to put it in park before I got out...
